  1. Add water to the pot along with sugar & place on medium-high until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat & allow to cool. 

  2. Peel & cut the watermelon into chunks. Add to juicer & set yielded juice aside. (I got a total of 9 cups but only used 4 ½ cups for this recipe)

  3. To a pitcher, add the sugar & water mixture that has cooled along with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir

  4. Add 4 ½ cups of watermelon juice to the pitcher & stir. Place in the refrigerator to chill.

  5. Serve over ice.

  • 1 large watermelon

  • 5 cups water

  • 2/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 cup sugar

  • You can adjust the amount of sugar used, depending on the sweetness of the watermelon (mine was perfectly sweet).

  • Stir before drinking as watermelon juice usually settles at the bottom of the pitcher.

  • Mint would make this even more refreshing!
