  • 3 lbs of pork ribs

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 4 inches ginger, sliced into coins

  • 1/2 c pineapple, chopped

  • 1/2 c less sodium soy sauce

  • ¾ c brown sugar

  • 2/3 c honey

  • 1/4 c vinegar

The Glaze

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Remove membrane from ribs & slice ribs between bones.

  3. Season ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, & paprika, & olive oil, then allow marinating for two hours.

  4. Drizzle olive oil in a cast iron skillet, & sear ribs on both sides.

  5. Once done searing, add onions, & garlic, and sauté until golden. Add ginger and continue stirring & after approximately 2 minutes, add pineapples.

  6. Once onions are now translucent, add soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, & vinegar, & bring to a boil. Remove from heat.

  7. Arrange ribs in a baking dish & pour glaze over the ribs. Cover in foil & cook for a total of 2 hours.

  8. Once done, remove the ribs from the baking dish & arrange them on a baking rack. Baste ribs with juices from the baking dish & place in an oven on broil for 2 minutes. Turn them over & baste them again. Then place them in the oven for 2 more minutes.
